Your guide to preparing for your virtual event

  • Please ensure that you have disabled any VPN or Firewall prior to accessing the event. These are known to block many features of virtual event platforms, and can cause disruptions. If you are unable to disable them, you can also try joining on another network.

Which browsers are compatible with Boomset?

We recommend using Chrome or Edge to access the Virtual Platform. 

How do I access the event?

You will receive an email prior to the event with a static link. Click on that link to be taken to the login screen for the Virtual Platform. You will be asked to enter your email address and your PIN โ€” an email or text message will be sent to you with this information โ€” to access the Event. 

I donโ€™t have a link, how can I access the Event?

There are two ways to access your Event without a direct link. One is to head over to the Boomset website and click on Login as an Attendee. The other is to head to the Virtual Platform directly and access from there. Keep in mind that both these options will require you enter an Event Code the first time you try to access it through them.

I forgot / misplaced my PIN. Can I request another one?

Yes! Once you access the login screen for the Event, enter your email address and move through to the page requesting the PIN. There you should see an option to resend the PIN to your chosen method of communication. A new one will be delivered! 

Why canโ€™t I hear anything when I access a session?

Audio will not start playing automatically on the virtual platform. You need to unmute the video window for audio to begin playing. 

Why is my profile not visible in the Community Tab?

Your profile will not be showcased in this area unless you change its visibility settings to Visible. You can find the option to do this on the Community tab by toggling the button on the top-right corner of the screen.
