BoomPrint V2 Instructions

What is BoomPrint V2? BoomPrint V2 enables a Printer to connect to an iPad or Android device while using our own FTP server: CoreFTP program not needed

BoomPrint V2 Overview:

1. Main screen
   1. IP Address
   2. Port
   3. Printer
   4. Display Log (shows printing activity)
   5. Start/Stop button
   6. Settings icon → Settings screen
2. Settings screen 
   1. Connection Type
      1. Network or Path
   2. Port
   3. Printer Options
      1. Select printer driver
   4. Display Logs
      1. Check the box to show printing activity on main screen

BoomPrint V2: iOS and Android Guest List

*iOS or Android Guest List BoomPrint V2 - Use Network only*

• Windows Device: search Printers & Scanners menu

1. Find printer driver name → tap Manage
2. Set printer to default
3. Adjust Printing preferences

• Windows Device: search device for BoomPrint V2 (Download Source: Dropbox)

Check C: Drive and MiniPC folder in C2R device

1. (right-click) Extract all files in BoomPrintV2 zip folder 
1. Password: boomset (if this doesn’t work, try boomprint for other versions)
2. Click Setup.exe
1. Click install 
2. Windows protected popup - click “more info” and “run anyway”
3. Run BoomPrint V2 program

• Windows Device: Open BoomPrint V2

STOP BoomPrint to enter settings menu (settings icon in top right corner) 

1. Choose Connection Type

1. Network → for iOS and Android Guest List App devices only (tablet) 
1. Requires Port: use default (9999)

• if port is busy, assign custom port (0 to 65535)

1. Choose Printer Option
1. Same printer from step 1 should appear automatically
2. Advanced Section
1. Check Display Logs box 
3. Go back (←) to main screen. 
1. Hit Start button 

• iOS/Android Device: Open Guest List App

Check that Ipad and Windows device are connected to the same network

1. Open Guest List App > tap Device Options
1. “Tap here to add manually”
2. Select BoomPrint V2
3. Enter IP Address from BoomPrint V2 main screen
1. 111.111.111.111 (use 0 as placeholder: 099)
2. Port is to be appended to the IP address with a colon (i.e.192.168.150.120:9999)

• iOS/Android Device: Guest List App

Enter event and print a badge

*Root/Image Path = Ensure BoomPrint V2 path matches WGL image path

• Windows Device: search Printers & Scanners menu

   C:\Users\Administrator\Pictures\BoomsetBadge\ 
1. Choose Printer Option
1. Same printer from step 1 should appear automatically
2. Advanced Section
1. Check Display Logs box 
3. Go back (←) to main screen. 
1. Hit Start button 

• Windows Device: Open Windows Guest List App

Check that Ipad and Windows device are connected to the same network

1. Device Options (see BoomPrint V2 images below)
1. Ensure BoomPrint V2 path matches WGL image path:
   C:\Users\Administrator\Pictures\BoomsetBadge\

• Windows Device: Open Windows Guest List App

Enter event and print a badge

Troubleshooting

BoomPrint V2 zip folder cannot be found on C2R Windows device (computer)

• If BoomPrint V2 is not already downloaded on the C2R computer, you must download the BoomPrint V2 zip folder from the dropbox link above. 

1. Use your boomset phone/computer to email this document or the dropbox link to yourself
2. Open your boomset email account on the C2R computer
3. Download BoomPrint V2 from the dropbox link/document
